- Antalgique [1], [2], anti-nociceptive, diminue les douleurs neuropathiques [3], même en présence de glutamate, substance P, capsaïcine, interleukine 1 béta (IL-1béta) et tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha)
- Activité antipsychotique [4]
- Anti-inflammatoire
- Inhibiteur des MPP-2 (matrix métalloprotéinases 2) [5], facteur clé dans l'apparition de métastases de cancer du colon
- Inhibe la thyroperoxydase [6]
